Hello, Everyone!
It was a spur of the moment decision really. I can't take all the credit for the idea, as it was my Dad who suggested I start writing a blog. Knowing how much I love all things beauty and fashion, as well as how much I love to write, i suppose he thought a blog would be the best way to combine the two.
My name is Jade, I'm 20 years old. (Insert AA meeting gag here.) I am currently living in the midwestern United States, however I am originally from England. I also lived in Sydney, Australia for a couple of years when I was in my early teens. I am at University majoring in English and I wish I could say I knew what I wanted to do with my degree, but that would be a lie. Sounds promising, right?
I have decided not to put any sort of strict label on this blog, like "Jade's Fashion and Beauty Blog," or anything cliche. (Although I did have to throw in something French.) Jade La Vie means Jade's Life in French...I think. I did consult Google Translate, so if there is a mistake, they're to blame!
Whereas this blog is going to be beauty and fashion related, I am also going to include other aspects of my life such as travel, diet, recipes, my opinions on current affairs, relationship advice, tips for success at University and anything else I feel like touching on that is relevant to my life.
I'm a sickeningly organized person when it comes to writing. I'm a list maker, which I think says it all. So I've decided to divide my posts in to categories with their own names. I will be making those up as I go, because I haven't quite thought of any quirky names as of yet! My ultimate goal is to make the categories so well labeled that this blog could be taken as a fashion blog, or a diet blog, or a relationship blog depending on which tab you choose.
This post is already entirely too long for an introduction! Honestly though, you should come to expect long posts.
